Quick Update from Yosemite

Hello from Yosemite! I just posted a new photo album with pictures from the Redwoods to Yosemite, and added my journal entry for my ride from Kennewick Washington to Portland Oregon. I've been online far too long, so the other entries will have to wait, but in the interim here's what I've been up to...

After riding through the Redwoods I headed back to the California Coast to Fort Bragg, where I turned East and rode over the coastal range and down into the FLAT Sacremento Valley. I stayed on Route 20 across the valley, which took me through farms, plains and some nice small towns along Clear Lake. I took a day off at Folsom Lake, which is just Northeast of Sacremento, and ended up hiding in my tent for the day while a windy and rainy storm blew through. After that I headed down to Route 49, then onto Route 120 which I took into Yosemite. Today is my second full day off in the Park, and it's been raining off and on throughout the day so I'm taking advantage of the downtime to work on the blog. Yesterday I hiked up to Yosemite Falls, which did a job on my legs, and definitely will not help me with the nearly 10,000 ft pass I'll start climbing tomorrow (assuming the pass is open). After that I'll head south again into Death Valley, the Mojave Desert and Joshua Tree before meeting my Dad and step-Mom in Palm Springs.

Stay tuned for more!
