Quick Update from Suchitoto, El Salvador

Hi all! I'm writing this from a cyber cafe in the main square of Suchitoto, El Salvador. I've been riding with another Pan Am cyclist named Matt since Antigua, Guatemala. We spent two days cycling from Antigua to the border, then three more days riding to Suchitoto. The temperature and humidity have been in the 90s, and we've had extremely challenging climbs every day. There was a concert in Suchitoto last night, and we decided we weren't in a hurry to get back on the road, so today will be our second and last day off before continuing east toward Honduras. We recently learned that April is the hottest month in Central America, but it's only a few degrees warmer than any other month - the humidity is the big problem... Matt and I have similar plans for now, so it seems pretty likely we'll be riding to Panama together. Once we get there we'll probably take a boat to Columbia, but after that we have no definite plans.

Hasta luego!
